Entering Patient Data
1. Press the New Patient Key [1].
2. Enter Patient Name and Patient ID. If no
LMP, EDD or GA is typed in, no information
in the Growth Chart will be displayed.
3. Select Start Exam.
Probe/Program Selection
1. Press the Probe/Program Key [2].
2. Probes are displayed on Touch Screen [4],
select Probe.
3. Select Application and Setting on the
Touch Screen.
Generic Measurements
1. Press the Measurement Key [12].
2. Select the measurement on the Touch Screen.
3. For distance measurement press Generic Dist.
4. To set the caliper press the Left or Right
Trackball Key [14].
Calculation Measurements
1. Press the Calc Key [13].
2. Select the measurement from the Touch Screen [4].
3. The calipers can be set by Left or Right Trackball
Key [14].
4. For Patient Report press Report Key[3].
CFM Mode (Color Flow Mapping Mode)
1. Press CFM Mode Key [9].
2. Color box appears, this box can be moved
with Trackball [14].
3. For adjusting size of box press Upper
Trackball Key [14].
4. Adjust size with Trackball, press Upper
Trackball Key [14] again for moving box.
PW Mode (Pulsed Wave Doppler Mode)
1. Press PW Mode Key [6].
2. Doppler gate can be moved with the Trackball.
3. For changing gate size press Upper Trackball
Key [14], move Trackball.
4. Press Upper Trackball Key [14] again for fixing
gate size.
5. Press Left Trackball Key [14] for activating Doppler.
6. If Duplex is desired press Right Trackball Key [14].
3D/4D Mode
1. Press the 3D & 4D Key [11].
2. Choose the appropriate application on the
Touch Screen. The Right Trackball Key [14]
or Freeze Key [18] will begin the acquisition.
NOTE:
If PW/CFM is active press the PW Mode Key [6] to
go back to CFM and vice versa. To deactivate all
modes press the 2D Mode Key [10]. Same procedure
for PW / PD Mode.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
An Electronic User Manual [EUM] is integrated on
the Voluson

730 Expert. Press the [F1] Key on the

keyboard to activate the electronic user manual.
