In this unit, students will learn about how people

use different spaces. They will be able to tell

how spaces are organized and arranged for a
specific purpose. As they explore their "new
spaces" at school, they will reflect on what their
responsibilities are in each area of the school,
such as the playground, cafeteria and
classrooms.
Students will learn how people use different
spaces and their personal responsibilities in
each place. They will tour the building, chart
places they visited, and make an "Our New
Place" book. They will pair up with their 5th
grade buddies and discuss what they learned
and their responsibities at Morikami Park
Elementary School.
