China's current form of government is communist and is
led by the Communist party. The Communist party was formed in 1921 and was led by Mao Zedong. China Current President is Xi Jinping and was elected in 2013.
The start of the Communist party China had a civil war from 1945 to 1949. This was between the Communist party, which was lead by Mao Zedong and the Kuomintang, which was lead by Chang Kai-Shek. These two sides were fighting for control of China. This war ended when the communist party won and the Kuomintang was relocated in Taiwan. Kuomintang The Kuomintang was led by Chiang Kai-Shek. He was the president of China from 1928 to 1949 when he was overthrown by the communist party. Kuomintang was founded by Sun yet-San in 1912 and Chiang Kai-Shek took over when he died.
Previous presidents Before Xi Jinping was president Li Keqiang was the
President. He was born in 1955 and finished university in 1978. Next after him was Zhang Dejiang who was born in 1946. Then before Zhang Dejiang was Yu Zhengsheng. He was born in 1945 1 year before Zhang Dejiang was born.
Voting For people to vote in China they need to be over 18 years and only get one vote. The new president is chosen by who has the majority of the votes. The people can either vote for a candidate or abstain but for the votes to count half of them must be a vote for a candidate.
