Weekly Bulletin: 9/20/2014

1. We would like to thank all the parents who attended the PTA Parent Conference. Your participation is our biggest support.
2. 9/27, NO school for students, Professional Growth Day. The teachers and staff will have meeting at SDCCA Learning Center, and
a Welcome Party (hosted by PTA and SDCCA) will be held at noon.
3. For EMERGENCY ONLY, on Saturdays only, please contact (858) 775-9849.
4. Last day to apply for refund is 9/20.
5. The online registration for Writing Contest has started, please visit school web site at http://www.northcountychineseschool.org/ for
rules and registration link. The deadline for registration is 10/4, 6pm. The contest day is on 10/11. Please direct your question(s) to
contest@northcountychineseschool.org
6. Attention, Students and Parents! Please DO NOT enter the classroom until your teacher arrives. Please do not eat or drink in the
classroom and MP Room. Please do not bring chips or popcorn for snacks. Absolutely no chewing gum on campus. Thank you for
your cooperation!
7. The House of China will co-host the event Taste of Asia in the International Cottages, Balboa Park, on 9/27 & 9/28 (noon ~ 5pm).

8. San Diego Chinese American Science & Engineering Association offers several scholarships to high school students who
demonstrate excellent academic and extracurricular records. Please visit http://www.sdcasea.com/Scholarship.html for more info.

9. Students dance class and Chinese YoYo class (12:30~1:30pm) are now forming, if interested, please contact school office (#412)
for more info.
10. The following courses will begin soon at SDCCA Learning Center. Please email office@northcountychineseschool.org for detail
information. The classes will take place at SDCCA Learning Center, 9888 Carroll Centre Road, #122, San Diego, CA 92126.
SAT Chinese Subject Test preparation class will begin on Sunday 9/28 for six weeks. The SAT Chinese subject test is on
11/8/14.
New! Speech, Drama and More class is a fun program to let students learn and practice Chinese by singing and
dancing, rhyme recitation, drama and games etc. The class will begin on Thursday (9/25/14). Minimum enrollment: 6.

12. Reach your fitness goal, build lean muscles, and lose those extra pounds! Come join us for Pilates fitness classes sponsored by
PTA and given by Certified Pilates instructor. Its FREE, theres no excuse to miss out! Bring your yoga mat (we have yoga mat
