Preparation was thorough and had
goal for meeting which was shared

Approached PD with a non-
threatening attitude
Added a range of names to G&T
register
Opened up pathway to continued
discussions.






Time of day and end of term
Group had been away at PD during
day and arrived back late
(appeared drained from all day PD)
Didnt get buy in from staff
needed to have allowed for more
discussion on definitions eg. Twice
exceptional.
Needed to have defined different
roles eg. GATE facilitator and G&T
within the school this wasnt clear
and may have added to confusion
with completing register on day too

Feedback after PD from two staff
members saying that they felt it had
opened up their understanding of
what G&T was and how
identification in the past of students
has been more academic based
Hearing a number of teachers
share about same child eg.
Classifying C, G and A
Didnt feel that all staff were on
board with need to identify and
plan programmes to meet needs
rather was just another thing to
think about.

Differentiation in the classroom what does this look like?
Incorporating quick 5 min thinking exercises into class programme need to provide ideas
