Technote: Sentinel HASP problems uninstalling\installing latest runtime drivers

Products Affected: Hasp SRM, HASP HL, Hasp 4, Hardlock

Issue: Problems in (un-)installing the latest runtime drivers
Solution: To fix the (un-)installing problem, please follow the steps below.
Please notice: The Technote is splittet in two parts (remove old drivers and install new drivers).All
steps have to be performed as User Administrator. If possible, temporarily disable any protection
software such as anti-virus and firewall.
a) Remove old drivers

1. Unplug the local HASP-Key
2. Please download the driver HASP4 driver cmdline.zip from:
http://www.hasp.com/support/hasp/hasp4/vendor.aspx#latestDD
3. Unpack it, open a cmd-window and go to that folder. Type hinstall r alldrv into it. Now all
old drivers are removed from the System.

b) Install new drivers
1.DownloadthelatestHASPSRMdriverHASP_SRM_Runtime_cmd_line.zipfrom:
http://www.hasp.com/support/haspsrm/vendor.aspx#latestDD

2.Unzipthatfile,openacmdwindowandgototheunpackedfolder.
Typehaspdinstrpurge.PleaserestartnowtheSystem.

3.AfterrestartingtheSystem,pleaseopenacmdwindow,gottotheunpackedfolderandType
haspdinstitoinstallthenewdrivers.

4.OpennowaWebbrowser,andTypehttp://localhost:1947intotheaddressbar,pluginthe
HASPKeyandcheckifitshowsupinHASPKeys

5.Checknowifyourapplicationworks,ifnotpleasecontactsupport@safenetinc.com
