Start with a square, colour side
down. Make a diagonal, valley fold
bottom right fap and mountain
fold the opposite corner.
Treat the top right corner as a
square and make a preliminary base
- fold 2 valley folds
and a mountain fold on the
diagonal.
Collapse the base Petal fold the corner.
precrease frst with 3
valley folds and raise
the upper fap.
Perform a colour change
on the right side of the
petal
To get this, turn over. Valley fold from corner to corner, but
only the upper layer! Let the *
marked corner from previous step
come forward!

Now make the Tab by mountain folding
the coloured side as marked (by the
angle bisector).

Pocket
Raise the right coloured fap to fnd the hidden
pocket. Put it back into place after that.
Assembly:
Connect two units by inserting a Tab into
a Pocket - raise the coloured petal part,
insert the tab and put back the petal.
Two units connected. Add 5 more to get a
3D bowl shaped star, or use 8 units in total
to have a fat model.
