Sharing some truth about Fraternities and Sororities--The head or covering for

the BGLO is called National Pan-Hellenic Council


The National Pan-Hellenic Council was established in an age when racial segregation and
disenfranchisement plagued African Americans, the rise of each of the black fraternities and
sororities that make up the NPHC bore witness to the fact that despite hardships African
Americans refused to accede to a status of inferiority. The The National Pan-Hellenic Council

and action as far as possible in the conduct of Greek letter collegiate fraternities and sororities,
and to consider problems of mutual interest to its member organizations.
The founding members of the NPHC were Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Alpha Kappa
Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, and Zeta Phi Beta. The council's membership expanded as Alpha Phi
Alpha (1931), Phi Beta Sigma (1931), Sigma Gamma Rho (1937), and Iota Phi Theta (1997)
joined this coalition of Black Greek letter organizations (BGLOs). In his book on BGLOs,
Lawrence Ross coined the phrase "The Divine Nine" when referring to the coalition. As well as
the NAACP and the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW),

are many wise men who know what to do.
E) Micah 3:11 says, Her heads judge for a bribe, Her priests teach for pay, And her prophets
divine for money. Yet they lean on the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among us? No harm can
come upon us.
I had tried to join the NAACP 3 or 4 times, paid my money filled out the application. I had got
connected with the national leaders and had much favor with them. But they could never find my
application. Thank you, Jesus. If you are a member of this NAACP and a BGLO please pray and
ask God (Yahweh) if you should continue to be a member.
