Turkish economy is growing rapidly and


European countries would like to access it as
early as possible.
Turkey refuses to recognize the Armenian
Genocide in 1951, and many countries in the
EU have strict laws against holocaust denial.
Turkey has a large armed forces and a strong
military tradition which would be helpful in
disputes.
Turkey has a law GNI per capita of 8,000 and
is not quite rich enough to join the EU.
Turkish population is young and well
educated
Allowing Turkey to join the EU would allow
turkey immigrants to migrate into Europe.
Many Turks are familiar with European
customs and traditions
Turkey treats its women and Kurdish
population badly and the EU has a standard
on how you should treat humans.
Has abolished the death penalty, has
introduced serious measures against torture,
and plans to help women and kids.
Turkey is also a very big country and would
soon take too much power from the EU.
