Geometric solids are three-dimensional objects. You are likely familiar with many of them even
if you do not know the proper names. These objects can be tricky to represent on paper which is flat.
Yesterday we practiced drawing 3-D forms with isometric paper, today we will take a different approach.
Geometric drawing of geometric solids is similar to but different from artistic drawing. In geometric
drawings, hidden lines are revealed with dashes. In artistic drawings, hidden lines often remain hidden
and shadows are included. Today we will practice creating representations of cylinders, prisms, spheres,
cones, pyramids, and hemispheres. Please review pages 76-77 in the text book before beginning this
assignment.
