Its Maths week!!Each child will be sent home a letter, sponsorship form and applicable question
sheets. They need to discuss the safety aspect of collecting sponsors and practice at home with
their family to be able to donate as much as possible to THE CANCER FOUNDATION.
Please bring your money for your new writing book to school as soon as possible (70c).

Solve the following word stories
1) A farmer has two paddocks. He has ten animals altogether. He wants to
put one half of the animals and one half in the other. How many animals do
you think will be in each paddock?
Workout by showing the fraction to get the answer.
2) There are two wafer biscuits. We will cut each wafer into two pieces.
How many pieces are there altogether now? What is each piece called?
Show the fraction by drawing it.
