LIFE OR DEATH

Most times we are not aware that we daily deal
with the biggest dilemma, though concealed
Directly or indirectly we are forced to decide,
on which human or animal is to live, and which is to die
We prefer not to be directly involved,
but participate by voting or buying in stores
As long as choices dont affect the ones we love,
the big dilemma is usually ignored
But what to do if the responsibility is directly ours
and we have to select the ones to survive
and the ones, because of what we decide,
to be innocently doomed and sacrificed ?
Which values and rules would then dominate
in the decisions we then have to make?
Will love prevail against responsibility?
Will importance prevail against compassion?
Lets hope well be able to know the wisest strategy
when the dilemma presents in times of action
