intheearlyAmericas.ThesetwoauthorsareWilliamBradfordandWilliamByrd.Bradfordsstyleis
veryserious,credible,andisfromafirsthandaccountinhisbookOfPlymouthPlantation.Onthe
otherhand,ByrdsdescriptioninTheStoryoftheDividingLineissatirical,hiscredibilityisabit
lacking,andhisstyleisverysubjective.
FromBradfordsaccount,thePilgrimswerehardworking,caring,problemsolving,Christian
individuals,andhisstylewasobjectiveconsideringheusedtheyinsteadofwe.Hisaccountwaslist
offacts,andthatsallhereallywanted.HishopewastoinspirefuturegenerationswiththePilgrims
hardships.WhilethePilgrimswerentveryknowledgeableaboutlifeintheirnewland,theydidthebest
theycouldwithwhatlittletheyhad,andlearnedasquicklyaspossible.Thankfully,theyhadtheaidof
theAmericanIndians.Withwhom,afterfriendlyentertainmentandsomegiftsgivenhim,themade
