The best work experience I received was when i got the opportunity to get an internship in New
York. This gave me the chance to get some experience as a fashion merchandiser. my
Responsibilities were:
Manages daily events/sales in coordination with an Associate
Buyer/Buyer
Develops relationships with cross functional team members (Marketing,
Photography, Studio, Logistics, etc.) Regarding current and upcoming sale
Information/calendar
Acts as a coordinator externally by obtaining product details and specs
From vendors
Tracks samples and skus as well as take responsibility for PO updates
Manages inventory tracking from receipt in the studio through return to warehouse/vendor
Performs quality Control and follows up with support teams as necessary
This helped me grow and understand the real world of fashion.
