MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR JULY 28, 2014

A meeting with the Board of Public Works was held on July 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the
Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Brian
Wyndham.

ROLL CALL: Mayor Brian Wyndham, Ruthann Jeffries, Linda Messmer, City Attorney Traci
Orman, Deputy Clerk Patty Bedwell and Ernest Rollins, Brazil Times Representative
OTHERS PRESENT: Brian Dyer representing Dave OMara Contractor Inc., and Warren Artz
representing Wabash Valley Asphalt.
PLEDGE: The pledge to the Flag was lead by Mayor Brian Wyndham.

NEW BUSINESS:
1.) Street Paving Project - The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Street Paving
Project Bids.
The following bids were received and opened:
1.) Wabash Valley Asphalt - $1,780,639.00
2.) Dave OMara Contractor Inc. - $1,692,400.00
Bids were unsealed; at this time, bids will go under review and a decision will be given
on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
Ruthann Jeffries made a motion to take these bids under review; Linda Messmer
seconded. The motion passed 3-0.

ADJOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Ruthann Jeffries; seconded
by Linda Messmer. Meeting adjourned 10:07 a.m. The motion passed 3-0.
