Bosnian Muslim (child sent to america)

It has been so many years since i have seen parents in Bosnia. I have no idea what
happened to them since they sent me to America to keep me safe from the fighting. The last
time i heard from my parents, they were heading to Srebrenica. They must have not known
about the shelling going on at this safe zone that was set up. They must be alive, they just
have to be alive. I just wish i could know where they are

The war back home is ridiculous, and should not have happened. The fact that Milosevic
believes that he has the right to do this is just insane. The UN is doing nothing to stop this. How
could an organization set up to defend the rights of everyone just sit idle while Milosevic kills
everyone in my home nation. I hope that my parents are still alive.

Ive heard that the UN had finally decided to act on the war in Bosnia. This is too little too
late. Ive even heard that the Troops that they sent were not to quell the war, but to keep
peace. Then i heard that many of the troops were killed, and the Serbs that killed them took
their uniforms and pretended to be them. Doing this, they led many Bosnians to their death
believing they were from the UN. Finally, the US stepped in and held a meeting for peace talks
between all the separate groups. This is a short term solution for a long term problem.
