Out of 187 countries, Norway ranked first for equal pay between males and females. Out of those same countries, the US ranked fifth.
The gender equality in the Nordic States is very high. These countries appear to be ahead of the US in some cases. This is in a whole, however in separate nations many are behind in some areas, and ahead in others. The area is a very gender equal area.
