Rabbit and Turtle
There once was a rabbit and a turtle. The rabbit was appropriately named
Speedy, and the turtles name was Frozen. Speedy exclaimed, Hey guys
!oo" how #ast $ am% Frozen did not li"e Speedys taunting, and wal"ed slowly
towards the bragging rabbit. Frpozen said, $ want to challenge you to a
race.% &o,% replied Speedy, you are too slow.% Frozen smiled and as"ed,
're you a#raid o# losing the race Speedy(% Hold up,% said Speedy, $ will
accept your challenge, and $ will show you how #ast $ really am.% '#ter much
arguing, they both agreed that they will race to the big, old maple tree by
the street. )....*....+% yelled Frozen. Speedy too" o, -ying, but poor Frozen
barely crossed the line.
$ am so ahead that $ thin" $ will ta"e a nap under this tree, and still ha.e
enough time to beat Frozen,% said Speedy. /hen Speedy wo"e up, it was
dar"er. He noticed the dar"er s"y and as"ed himsel#, How long ha.e $ been
sleeping(% He loo"ed both ways, but did not see Frozen. So, Speedy 0uic"ly
stood up and started running towards the hill, where the tree was located.
/hen he reached the top o# the hill, he saw Frozen. $t was too late, he had
already passed the line and 1nished the race. Speedy said to himsel#, $
should not ha.e ta"en a nap,% and sadly wal"ed towards the tree. /hen he
arri.ed, Frozen said, Sometimes being the best does not mean you will
always win.% Then, Speedy and Frozen became close #riends.
