The last day of my holiday in the south of Spain was
definitely the best. It was my birthday and my mum
and dad wanted to give me a surprise. We went to a
town called Tarifa. It was foggy and very windy when we arrived.
We couldn't visit the castle or go to the beach. We stayed in the car for an hour.
My mum and dad were angry and they wanted to go back to the hotel. We had lunch
and then suddenly the sun came out and the wind stopped. We saw the coast of
Africa in front of us, only fourteen kilometres away. My dad bought some tickets to
go on a boat trip. We saw dolphins and whales swimming in the sea and I read all the
information about them. It was fantastic. I wrote dolphin postcards to all my friends.
In the evening I saw a film about a whale in North America and I dreamed about my

The elephant is the largest land-living animal on Earth. They
come from Africa and India. The elephant has a trunk. The
elephant uses its trunk to put food and water in its mouth.
You can tell the difference between an African and Indian elephant by their
ears. The African elephant has bigger ears than the Indian elephant. An
elephants eyes are quite small, so they cant see very well. They use their
big ears to hear things which are far away. Elephants cant jump. Sometimes
