How the Cold War impacted music!

By:Hannah Seck Cheyenne Alonzo Alison Onesti

Cold War..Through Music!
Before the Cold War and during the Cold War it was a hard time for Americans to live.
The way they felt during the 70s is kinda the way we feel right now. Not so proud of our country and
not so proud living here in The United States Of America. We were always at war here in the U.S.A the
government was killing its own people. After the Cold War had happened and we won people had
started to become happy again and started feeling good or better about the US.
People started expressing themselves through clothing and music. The Music being made started to
become more happier and people were getting along again and a bunch of the wars/ fights had
stopped for a little while at least(the big major ones that they were dealing with anyway..
Music Cold War...What do they have
to do with each other???
Cold war and music relate in many ways people always express themselves through music but theres
also other ways but music is a good way of expressing feelings i think that it will be that way forever
because what's better than putting your feelings down on paper and then singing it and getting
frustrations out? Well the cold war and music relate a lot because people were going through a rough
hard time kinda like the way we are right now so people made anti-war songs..
protests..poems..pictures.and much more but I think music was the most useful way of them getting
their feelings across through music and people can listen to the lyrics read the lyrics and can get your
feelings without having to go through explaining oh this song I Wrote because the war and I don't like
war and I want it to stop they can just tell by how you sing the song and the words and phrases you
use when writing the song or singing.
