Andres Bonifacio, Valentin Diaz, Teodoro Plata, Ladislao Diwa, Deodato Arellano, and a few others then founded the Kataas-taasang Kagalang-galang na Katipunan nang mga Anak nang Bayan on July 7, 1892 at a house on Azcarraga street (now Claro M. Recto), in Tondo Manila. As a symbol of the members loyalty, they performed the solemn rite of sanduguan, wherein each one signed his name with his own blood. THE TEJEROS CONVENTION The Tejeros Convention was called to decide whether to establish a new government to replace the Katipunan or not. Aguinaldo won as president while Bonifacio was relegated as the Director of the Interior.
Bonifacio refused to recognize the new government
He left with his followers for Naik and established his own government. THE DEATH OF ANDRES BONIFACIO
Aguinaldo ordered the arrest of the Bonifacio brothers. They were executed somewhere in the mountains of Maragondon in Cavite on May 10, 1897. The Katipunan and its founder were now dead.
