stepmother in a wooden house. His stepmother was bad tempered and always
scolded him.
Stepmother: Wei Xiong! Where are you?
Wei Xiong: Yes, mother?
Stepmother: How many times do I need to tell you to clean the toilet?
Wei Xiong: Im sorry, mother. I just came back from school.
Stepmother: I dont care. Clean the toilet now!
Scene 2
Narrator: Winter came. It was very cold. His mother fell sick.
Stepmother: Wei Xiong, Im sick. Bring me fresh carp so Ill get better.
Wei Xiong: Yes, mother. Ill get you some fresh carp now.
Narrator: Immediately, Wei Xiong came to a river.

home.

Stepmother: Thank you, my son. Im sorry that I always scolded you.
Wei Xiong: Thats okay, mother.
Stepmother: From now on, Ill treat you better.
