Intellectual property rights are the

rights to a variety of intangible
assets

Copyrights are the rights of
an author on his creative work or an
artist on his artwork to protect them
from its unauthorised recreation of
their work

Copyright is a form of intellectual property,applicable to any
expressible form of an idea or information that is substantive
and discrete.
Copyrights include the films,musical creations,drawings or
sculptures and architectural designs. It can also include
technicals works like a computer software or electronics data
to protect it from piracy or unauthorised copying.
Copyrights are said to be terretorial which means that they
do not extend beyond the territory of a specific state unless
that state is a party to an internationals agreement.
The first english copyright law was passed in the
year 1709.
Today however, this is less relevant since most
countries are parties to at least on such agreement.
Copyrights do not continue indefinitely but they
lasts for upto 70 years even after the death of
original creator.
It includes the product
formulations, trademarks or
symbols ,designs ,commercial
names, geographical indications
,etc.
