Keynote speaker jan jagodzinski is Professor of Education
at the University of Alberta. He is a highly esteemed
philosopher and theorist on art and media education, linguistics and psycholinguistics, postmodernity and representation. He is the author of many books and articles, including Television and Youth Culture: Televised Paranoia; Visual Art and Education in an Era of Designer Capitalism: Deconstructing the Oral Eye. CALL FOR PAPERS This years iJADE conference will focus on collaboration in arts education, and invites papers that investigate this theme. Collaboration and partnerships have continued to thrive in arts practices despite the prevailing dogmas of individualism and competition. The following may serve as a guide for abstracts: new forms of collaboration; ethics of collaboration; children as artists in collaborative pedagogies and practices; collaborative funding; international partnerships; creative school partnerships; communities of practice; theory and politics of collaboration; agency and identity dynamics in collaborative practices; inter- disciplinary practices; collaborative curricula; assessment; collaborative epistemologies; co-creation.
