Presentation
Well-rehearsed with smooth delivery that holds audience attention. All
members of group have a role. Vocabulary is advanced. Members do not read
information from the slides.
Rehearsed with fairly smooth delivery that holds audience attention most
of the time. 3/4 of the members of the group have a role. Vocabulary is
adequate. There is minimal reading from slides.
Delivery not smooth, but able to maintain interest of the audience most of

the time. 1/2 of the members have a role in the presentation. Vocabulary
is bland. Members depend on reading from the slides.
Delivery not smooth and audience attention often lost. The presentation
does not stay on topic. Vocabulary is poor. Only one member has a role in
presentation. Group is unprepared.
Originality
Product shows a large amount of original thought. Ideas are creative and
inventive. The proposition captures the audience and is convincing. Deep
thought regarding the characteristics of the biome is evident.
Product shows some original thought. Work shows new ideas and insights.
The biome is presented accurately, but 1/2 of the slides are facts and the

information obtained required minimal critical thinking.
Uses other people's ideas (giving them credit), but there is little
evidence of original thinking. The proposition of the biome is not as
convincing and the presentation lacks creativity.
Uses other people's ideas, but does not give them credit. Sources are not
listed and the project lacks creativity and accuracy. The work is poorly
researched and deep thought is not evident.
Sources
Source information collected for all graphics, facts and quotes. All
documented in desired format.
Source information collected for all graphics, facts and quotes. Most
documented in desired format.
Source information collected for graphics, facts and quotes, but not
documented in desired format.
Very little or no source information was collected.
Requirements
All requirements are met and exceeded. The Presentation exceeds the
requirement of 10-20 slides, the presentation is appropriate length, and
the members never veered off topic. The class walked away from your
presentation with new information regarding your biome.
All requirements are met. Your group completed the 10-20 slide
requirement, presentation is a few minutes shy of desired, but all areas
of content were covered. Group met all requirements, but did not exceed
them.
One requirement was not completely met. Your group did not meet one of the

following: slide amount, oral presentation amount, or did not cover enough

characteristics of the biome.
More than one requirement was not completely met regarding slide or oral
presentation requirements. Group went off topic frequently and poorly
relayed information about the chosen biome.
Content
Covers topic in-depth with details and examples. Subject knowledge is
excellent. Group covered biome climate, fauna, flora, all scientific
names, and deep creative marketing for the Survivor project.
Includes essential knowledge about the topic. Subject knowledge appears to

be good. The group understands the chosen biome information and accurately

relays it, but does not provoke deep thought for the audience. At least
one scientific name was not correct.
Includes essential information about the topic but there are 1-2 factual
errors. Biome proposition is not convincing. Information is researched,
but not in depth.
Content is minimal OR there are several factual errors. Information is not

correct. The work displays poor understanding of the chosen biome.
Attractiveness
Makes excellent use of font, color, graphics, effects, etc. to enhance the

presentation. The pictures chosen to market the biome are high quality and

visually appealing.
Makes good use of font, color, graphics, effects, etc. to enhance to
presentation. Pictures chosen are appropriate to the biome, but may not be

the best quality.
Makes use of font, color, graphics, effects, etc. but occasionally these
detract from the presentation content. A theme is not established and the
presentation is not visually appealing.
Use of font, color, graphics, effects etc. but these often distract from
the presentation content. The pictures are blurry and not accurate.
