Spelling rules with- ing.
1. Consonant + -e = minus e and add ing
To write + -ing = writing
Live + -ing = living
2. Vowel + -ing, just add ing
Go + -ing = going
3. One vowel and one consonant = double the consonant + -ing (Not with w; w or y )
Swim + -ing = swimming
Play + -ing = playing
Fix + -ing = fixing
Show +-ing = showing
4. Two vowels + one consonant. Simply add ing
Push + -ing = pushing
Teach + -ing = teaching
