Pre-design
Delivered planning study to assess and understand facility and program needs,
constraints of the existing building fabric, opportunities for development.
Consulted with Elders to establish a common Vision for the Cultural and Heritage
‘soul’ of the building
Worked closely with community leaders to develop the design with the Cultural
Vision as the cornerstone of the design

Project Delivery
Prepared an integrated Project Delivery Schedule, including planning, design,
review, tender, construction, commissioning, and sequenced moving plan for
each stage of the project in order to provide seamless and integrated project
delivery.
Schedule included Critical Path analysis to identify and track ongoing timeline
targets throughout the Project Delivery

Design and Construction Documentation

Thorough Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction
Documentation process with reports and cost evaluation at each stage to integrate
client input at all levels of the project.
Unique planning elements such as ‘Cultural Spaces’ and ‘Community Pods’ to
address cultural needs specific to aboriginal students and staff.
Careful preparation of Construction Documents and Specifications minimized
change orders on site.
Developed an integrated Risk Management
Plan to reduce risks for a renovation project in an occupied post secondary
institution.
Identified opportunities for cost reduction from ‘smart’ design solutions that
met project objectives while working with the constraints of the existing building.

Construction Administration
Managed bid process and construction award
Worked with Client and Contractor to implement and integrate all aspects of
the project for seamless delivery from pre-design planning through construction
completion and sequenced moving at each stage of the redevelopment.
