What appeals to you about the social realism genre?
My idea is developed around a boy who has left home and is now living on what he can. During his introduction I am hoping to use voiceover of the people that have led him to leave. Which characters voices do you think would be the most effect for this?
a) Mother b) Father c) Brother/Sister d) Teacher e) A friend/school acquaintance
The boy has to live out of a bag with limited food and the rest of the plot is how he got into his situation. Think of a name for the film.
Do you think it would be more effective if the boy was alone, or had a younger sibling, which he was responsible for?
a) Alone b) With a younger sibling
Do you prefer titles e.g. directed by Lorna Summerscales to be in with the action and over the top of the film or on a separate cut away from the action, such as on a black screen?
a) Overlay (on top of action) b) Intertitles (on a cut away plain screen)
Is an existing track preferred or a combination of different sounds and effects, which build to make a track to fit to the action shown on screen?
a) Existing track b) Created track
At what time of day do you think would best suit filming for my chosen idea?
a) In the morning (sunrise) b) In the afternoon c) Dusk
