n your modem with a valid SIM 3) In Linux/Ubuntu open a Serial Port Terminal (yo
u need to install if it is not there) 4) In window use Hyperterminal 5) Select t
he correct serial port eg mine was /dev/ttyUSB3 for Ubuntu 6) Select Local Echo
so that you are able to see the response when you send AT commands to the modem
7) To unlock modem enter the command AT CLCK="PN",0,"the NCK code" Do not forget
the double quotes around the NCK digits. If the command is successful you get t
he response OK otherwise it will be ERROR 8) Happy surfing on any network of you
