Score and Moisten

1. Score
Use a pointed tool like a stylus or
needle tool to scratch up both
pieces of clay where they will be
joined.
2. Moisten
Dip your finger into water, and
drip one or t wo drops onto the
score marks on one of you pieces.
Do not smooth out the scratches!
3. Press
Press the t wo pieces together
firmly.

1. Finger
Use your finger to push and
smear the clay from one piece to
another.
OR. . .
2. Tool
Use a tool to spread the clay like
creamy peanut butter.
3. Smooth
Smooth out the bumps and lumps
wi th your finger.
