Year 8 International Foods Day
Dear Parents/Guardian,
This term Year 8 students are studying Nutrition and Digestions. As part of this unit
we are having been studying the food choices of different nations around the world
and researching how this influences their health and nutrition.
To mark the end of this unit we will be holding an International Foods Day. To make
this day a success we are kindly asking for the assistance of parents/guardians to aid
students in bring a plate of food from the culture they have been researching, or
from their own culture to share with others on the day.
This event will take place on Friday 28th August 2015, during class session 3 and 4.
Students with food that must be refrigerated my leave their food with the ladies in the
office as they have kindly agreed to help us.
We also ask that no food with nuts is brought in, and ingredients uses are listed to
help students with allergies know what they may eat.
