RECOMMANDATION

In welding process usually there have several defects that difficult to avoid. The usually defects
are spatter, lack of fusion, porosity, slag inclusions, undercut, lack of penetration, excess weld
metal, crack and so on. All the effects occur due to the lack of individual skill, the wrong
adjustment in welding machine such as voltage, speed of filler wire, and current, and welding
speed. For the better result in welding process, there have several methods that can be used. For
example spatter on work piece. The causes include are incorrect welding parameter and welding
polarity. The ways that can be taken to improve this defect are adjusted the welding parameters,
and change the polarity. The others defect is excessive weld metal. The actions that can be taken
to minimize the defect are by increase travel speed or reduce the amount of filler metal during
welding. All the defects can be minimizing if the correct methods have been used during the
welding process. The method that can be use to prevent this problem is by get a training from the
expert person. Besides that, the individual needs more of practice and skill about the welding
process. The other solution that can be use is by using the robotic welding machine in order to
get a good result
