Create a thesis that is more than a mere statement of fact.
Provide specific examples in support of the thesis. Avoid unnecessary plot summary. Blend and cite at least one quotation in each body paragraph. Begin with the weakest argument and progress to the strongest. Use transition sentences to link paragraphs. Elaborate and expand in your conclusion. Do not repeat.

Avoid contractions. Avoid first- and second-person pronouns. Create and center your original title. Include titles of works, authors, and thesis statement in your introduction. Use MLA format: typed, Times New Roman, 12-point font, doublespaced, MLA header and footer (Honor Above All)
