Describe the accountability of teachers to pupils.

Accountability or accountability of the teacher focuses on three aspects of


responsibility towards the profession, responsibilities and obligations to the school,
the community and themselves. As a teacher, the teacher is responsible for the
tasks assigned to delivers the curriculum provided to pupils with effective teaching
methods.
Teacher is the second important person in the life of every student. When parents
introduce their children to school, parents have great hopes for the teachers to
educate their children to become knowledgeable and useful to the nation. The
parents hope is what become teachers responsibilities towards the profession.
Teachers shall carry out their duties with full dedication in the classroom is to keep
on schedule, on time, and carry out the techniques of effective teaching and
learning. Give priority to pupils welfare, progress and security from other things. We
must be fair to all pupils and guide them without asking for any payment or reward.
The teacher not only teaches pupils about the subjects that have been set in the
curriculum, but to deliver a wide range of knowledge that is beneficial to the cognitive
development of pupils. Even the teacher is responsible for shaping the character and
personality of pupils so that they become people who are knowledgeable,
honourable and productive to the country. Therefore, teachers are accountable for
the achievement, progress and excellence of pupils in education and also in terms of
morality and character.

In addition to implement the responsibility to educate students, teachers are also


responsible for maintaining the image and behaviour of themselves. This factor is
important because the teacher must show the best example to pupils and be a good
role model. Teachers should always display the best image by being well-dressed
and modest, gentle and friendly, diligent and firm. With the adoption of these values,
the teacher will always be respected by the pupils.
