FINE PHARAGRAPH
THE LIGHT DISPERSION
The sun as polychromatic ray will be dispersed into some monochromatics
light if it passes through a glass prism. The monochromatics light are red,
orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, which have difference properties
each other. The light with different colour will have different wavelength and so
their propagation speed through a medium will be also different. Then, these
propagation speed difference create the difference in the value of their refractive
index in the prism. All of this properties very useful and important to be learn in
physics. So, if we want to learn about such monochromatic light, we have to
disperse the polychromatic light with a device such as glass prism.
