The Future Tooth Paste Squeezer Design Brief

Client:

Who is the customer or client that is paying for the design service?
(i.e. a company that makes toothpaste or key chains)
The client of the future tooth paste squeezer is Toms and the Container
store. Toms is a company that makes child tooth paste. The Container store
is an store that sells tools and things needed for humans daily life, including
hygiene.

Who is going to use the new product?(give age range)

End User:

The end user of this product will be young children is ages 2 to 7. The future tooth
paste squeezer will be most helpful to them due to them even after rolling the
tooth paste tube not able to get out all the tooth paste.

Designer(s):

Who is responsible for the design of the product?

The designer of the future tooth paste squeezer is James Arndt and the innovators at
Arndt Engineering. Other innovators and/or designers included my fellow
classmates in Intro to Engineering (IED)Class periods 3 and 5.

Problem Statement:

What is the problem that is being solved?

When children use tooth paste, they do not get all tooth paste out of the tooth
paste tube. This leads to extra unused tooth paste causing the buyer of tooth
paste more pain. The tooth paste squeezer revolution is an uprising topic.

Design Statement:

To what degree is the solution to be realized? Is your intention to merely sketch an

idea and be done? Is the intention to come up with an idea, build it, and stop there?
Or, is it your intention to design, build, and test an idea? In other words, what did
the solution have to do?
The steps as follows are bellow.
1) Defining key problems.
2) Sketch Ideas and the possible perfect idea.
3) Construct it on inventor.
4) Create an proto type using 3d printer.
5) Test the proto type.
The construction lengths and/or dimensions of the toothpaste squeezer may not be
greater than 4 inches wide, 2 inches high, and 0.25. The holes in the identical parts
must be .25 inches in diameter. It is mandatory that the toothpaste squeezer is a solid
color such as blue, green, red, or purple.
