Specific Topic: Endangered Animals of Guatemala

Competence:

Identifies, recognizes and shares the important of protecting Endangered Animals in Guatemala in
a real life activity When writes and acts a TV Ad.
Rationale: Students must recognize that only we can protect and our endangered species.
Lesson Content: Endangered Animals in Guatemala

Instructional Procedures
a.

Warm-up T. asks the students if they have any pet Ss must to answer what kind of pet they have
and the petsname T. asks the students if they know What are the exotic pets and they have to give
some examples.
b. Teaching procedures
Presentation: T. explains what Endangered Animals are. which are the most threatened species, and
the reasons why they are threatened
Controlled practice:
Ss paste in a map with the different departments of Guatemala pictures of some Endangered Animals
in Guatemala
Semi controlled practice: In group of three or four Ss. will write a Tv. Advertisement Discourage the
people to get Endangered Animals in Guatemala.
Free practice: Ss. will act the Tv AD. in front of their classmates they will have to decide how to
organize the activity for example who is going to be the cameraman and the director.
c. Closure: Ss. repeat the name of endangered animals previously learned in the presentation of the
class
d. Feedback: the teacher asks the students how we can help care for our biodiversity in Guatemala
e. Formative/ Summative check: They write a Tv Advertisement
f. Student Participation: they act a Tv Advertisement
g. Homework: research more about endangered species in Guatemala

Evaluation Procedures: Write and act a Tv Ad.
