Necessary Endings, New Beginnings

1 Samuel 16:1-13

When you think about it, life is made up of necessary endings and new beginnings. They are not always
pleasant, but one usually doesnt come without the other. God is always preparing us for new beginnings. We
are not made to figure out life on our own. Listen to God, learn from God, and let God be God.
Thinking It Through (agree/disagree consider/contemplate)

Gods will is not an itinerary but an attitude.

Breaking Bad

1 Samuel 16:14-23
While Saul has been fading, it is at this point that he really starts breaking bad. Keep in mind, in the OT one of
the roles of the Holy Spirit was to indwell and empower the one anointed as King. There could only be one
king at a time. Also keep in mind, Saul does not know David is the heir apparently, but David does.
