Going Into My Future Looking Back
An ability to express myself using correct grammar and the acquired skill of
how to navigate the multitude of available online resources have been two of the
most important skills that I have learned from this course. These skills will allow
me to excel during my college education and in my future career as a nurse. Many
college courses require an advanced level of writing skills, and I realize that I
know have an audience that consists of my professors and peers. The ability to
express my knowledge of a subject clearly, concisely, and professionally is
necessary for future success in my chosen profession of nurse. While the ability to
express myself is very important, the ability to locate and use necessary resources
is also important. While most classes require essays, academic paragraphs, and
weekly discussions, the knowledge of where to locate resources for background
and reference is an invaluable skill. Years ago, the library was everyones
knowledge resource center. With todays technology, our computers have become
the main source for a variety of diverse information. Knowing where to find this

information and how to cite sources correctly is a necessity. This composition class
has provided me with the necessary building blocks to express
subjects concisely, and validate my sources correctly and
professionally.
