our reality

Families represent the fastest growing population experiencing

homelessness. With the increase in numbers, we are seeing an
increase in complexity of the issues these families face.

our capacity crisis:

2014 has been the most
challenging year our 17-year
history.

When we refer to families, we are talking about children. These

children often present delayed development, mental health issues,
physical illness, and the acute eects of trauma.

Weve been over capacity

100% of 2014.

We need to respond, otherwise these children will become our next

generation of homeless adults.

With a predicted harsh

winter ahead, we face many
more challenges.

our response
Early Childhood Development
Investing in children is the key to breaking the cycle of
family homelessness.
We provide children with appropriate supports and
intervention that can help break patterns, set them up
for success and discover their true potential.

There is a growing complexity of needs
among families requiring shelter. Our

each family.
