prairies.

jaws to allow them to swallow
their prey whole.
There are nearly 3,000 species
of snakes.
When the outer layer of the
snakes skin is dead, it must
shed the skin in order to grow.
All snakes have teeth but only
poisonous snakes have fangs.
It depends on the snakes size
and the meal it eats, some may
have to eat once a week and
some can eat just once a
month.
The largest recorded snake was
33 feet, they are said that they
would not grow to any longer
than 40 feet in the wild.
