Please make sure that your bank letter follows these guidelines. Bank letters without one
or more of these requirements may be deemed insufficient, and another letter may be requested.
An acceptable bank letter:
Is printed on bank letterhead AND signed/stamped by bank official
Clearly indicates account holders first and last name in English letters (initials are
not acceptable).
Indicates the account balance OR that the balance is at least equal to the exchange
student expense estimate listed on our website. Please review this figure carefully
before requesting your bank letter.
Account balance amount can be listed in any currency (RMB, GBP, Euro, HK$,
etc.), but the letter MUST clearly state which currency it is using.
Indicates the kind of account held. See below for examples of acceptable and
unacceptable bank account types.

Demand Account/Deposit

Money Market Accounts
Credit Card Balances
Any account that has a maturity date
