is $15 per lesson. A lesson time is approximately 30 minutes. Families with 3 or
more students enrolled will be given a discount of $12 per lesson per child.
Excused absences include the following: illness, family emergency, notification at
least 24 hours in advance of scheduling conflict.
Teacher illness or teacher cancellation: A make up lesson will be given.

Practice:
Students are expected to practice approximately 30 minutes a day 5-6 days a
week as a general rule. Practice may be done in one sitting that day or split into
two fifteen minute sessions. Practice times can be based on age, individual
needs, how fast the student is desiring to progress, and motivations for taking
piano. The more time a student invests, the greater the progress and more songs
can be played!

Recitals: Students will be encouraged to play in a student recital twice a year.

The location is yet to be determined. It is highly encouraged students attend one
piano senior recital at UNI each year. These are free and open to the public. It can
be motivating and exciting for students to see what is possible!

What to expect at lessons: For lessons, I will listen to songs assigned from the
previous lesson. When they are mastered, I will assign new songs. I will also utilize
games for younger children and technology during the lesson. At times, we can
use a recording device to allow the student to hear their own progress. We also
can use a recording device to record myself playing the song for learning
purposes. Parents are welcome to leave their child for the duration of the lesson
or are welcome to stay. I look forward to working with you!
