Focus on the USDA because they are the financially governing


board over SNAP.

The setting for this presentation will take place within a


conference board room, where there will be plenty of
room for all participating individuals as well as room for
displays and appropriate to facilitate free conversation
and conduct a professionally tailored presentation.

SNAP has supported our nation by decreasing starvation


for disadvantaged populations but has not addressed the
issues of increasing nutrition levels, decreasing fraud, or
empowering the recipients with better nutritional options.
While SNAP has provided a way for society to address
hunger; however there still exist additional areas of
concern.
SNAP has failed in its ability to decrease nutritional risks,
reduce misusage, and foster independence.

In order to fix these issues SNAP should require the


following policy changes in order to be effective:

Mandatory bi-yearly nutrition/budgeting training classes


A photo or authorized purchaser added to the SNAP card
additional restrictions on food purchases
requirement of community service work.

Due to the mass participation of this program continual


evaluation should be observed to make sure that the
interventions to the overall objectives.

This program will be an abundantly proficient change that


will yield positive revenue for the SNAP and EBT
programs such as:

Opportunity for conservation of government funds


Protection against fraud

The objective is to instill values of:

Adaptability
Growth
Conservation
Structure
Unity

The audience should feel that this policy change proposal


is an attainable and organized goal with potential and
supports an opportunity for further growth and
development.

This proposal should leave the audience members with


all information so that they could make an effective and
sound decision regarding the policy change.
