Focus Process: Driving Skill

Learner: Bernard Pepito D. Malolos

Challenge: Have a nonprofessional drivers license before Christmas
Current Condition:
-have a theoretical knowledge of driving (i.e. how the shifting of gears, neutral, reverse and park are
imposed)
-no experience of operating/driving a car
Target Condition:
-Have experience in driving a car.
-Have a nonprofessional drivers license before Christmas
Obstacles Parking Lot:
-schedule conflict of driving lesson and work
-conflicting traffic regulations on the roads in Metro Manila
-problem in processing of documents in government office (LTO) (government system downtime or
other technical problems)
-difficulty in looking in all side mirrors and focusing on driving
PDCA Record:
Obstacles: schedule conflict of driving lesson and work
Date, step and metric: Choose a driving school near Las Pias City with a schedule of Saturday or Sunday
lessons and a minimum of 2 hours lecture per week for 4 weeks. (November 4, 2014)
What do you expect? : May have difficulty because driving lecture may already have schedule not
suitable to what I like. In such case, I shall sit in to lectures or gather friends and acquaintance who
would like to learn to drive and ask the driving school for a schedule that will fit our needs
Coaching.
What happened? : Upon researching of a driving school, there were no specifications on what time the
lecture and the hands on will be conducted. I also learned that there is an option when you have handson driving, you can be drop off or pick up from a specific place. (i.e. from work or to the house)
What we learned? : I learned that I need to proceed to the driving school office to verify the schedule to
ensure the smooth flow of my current work schedule.

I will enroll myself in a driving school and get a student driving license. By the start of December, I shall
be well aware of the traffic rules and regulation and can drive without supervision.
