Evaluation Letter
My writing process wasnt as easy as I was for the other two progression essays. I knew
what my position was on social media and networking however I had difficulty putting it down
on paper. I found it difficult because I had the same view and idea as the articles online, therefore
it was difficult for me to put it into my own words. However, once I was able to it made the
process easier. I found the articles I was going to use for my essay and the article that had pros
and cons on the effects of social media and worked my essay around them. I believe a strength is
the examples I used to prove my position and how the negative effects of social media outweigh
the positive. I believe I weaknesses in transitioning and just small mistakes that are careless.
I believe for the category of Assignment requirements I deserve 10/10 points. I followed the
criteria, prompt instructions, exceeded the word limit, used MLA format, and have a creative
title. For the category of Content I believe I deserve 48/50 because my thesis is clear in my
introduction and my position on the topic. Also there are several examples in each paragraph
arguing both for and against the topic. For the category of Organization I believe I deserve 28/30
because I followed the format for this type of essay and have the three main components,
however my transition sentences may not be as strong as they could be. For the category of
Mechanics I believe I deserve 7/10 points because there is probably mechanical errors.
