Transaction Process (TP) Systems are designed
to collect, record, and manipulate data related
to a companies day to day operations.
TP Systems are the backbone of a
companies IT.

Knowledge Management System


Knowledge Management (KM) Systems
analyze the information collected by TP
systems and makes it easier for managers to
understand.
When the KM system detects problems it
alerts functional managers.

Expert System and Artificial


Intelligence
Expert system: is a system that can reason
through a companies information, diagnose a
problem, and suggest a solution.
Artificial Intelligence: is a system that reasons
and learns like a human being.

Enterprise Resource Planning Systems


Enterprise Resource Planning systems are
multi-module applications software packages
that coordinates all of a companys functional
activities.

E-Commerce Systems
E-commerce are transactions that take place
between companies, and customers and
companies via the Internet. These transaction
can also take place over other IT systems.
