womenoftodaysculture,hasrecentlysuggestedinherfilmKillingUsSoftly4thatadvertisements
affectmorethanjustwhetherornotaproductsellsinalmosteveryadvertisementtoday,nomatterthe
innocenceoftheproductbeingsold,implicationsaremadethatwomenmustbeflawlessinordertobe
trulybeautiful.Kilbournediscussestheriseofmisleadingemphasisonfemininebeautyandhowit
affectsthemen,women,andchildrenofoursocietytoday.Theimageinwhichsocietyportrayswomen
today,claimsKilbourne,isinfluencingeveryaspectthatourcultureusestodefinefemininebeauty.Ina
