Temp Electric Panel on Commons

Commons Temp Electric Panel 2013-12.pdf (482Kb)

Dennis:
Just left you a VM on this.
Last Friday, the City met with Sparks Electric about establishing a temp electric panel for our streetlights and
construction power. We would like to set up a 100a, 3-phase panel with a meter approximately 35'-40' south of the
existing NYSEG manhole on Bank Alley. The panel would be specified for outdoor use and would be mounted on a
frame made of plywood mounted on 4' x 4's. Sparks will be submitting a proposal to the City today and we will get a
contract going with them.
We'd like to have our utilities contractor, Vacri Construction, establish a pathway for Sparks by connecting the panel
to the manhole via 2" conduit with a drag line for Sparks to run the wiring between the two points. Vacri would also
construct the panel.
Attached is a sketch of the proposed plan.
The City will be the applicant/owner for the temp electric service. The work will be complete by December 6, 2013.
What do we need to do to gain access to and penetrate the manhole?
Thanks,
Michael
