I am writing in response to the Technician job opening you listed on indeed.com. I believe that
my education from University of North Texas and five years of experience in the semiconductor
industry qualify me for the position of Technician.
My education has given me knowledge pertaining to the semiconductor industry. I have
concentrated my studies on electrical circuits and information systems. As a sophomore
student I designed and built an integrated circuit to demonstrate capacitance, resistance and
inductance. I accomplished this by strategically and mathematically connecting resistors,
capacitors and inductors together to create an integrated circuit.
While working at Maxim Integrated I applied my education in the work place and gained vital
experience. My duty as a Laboratory Technician was to aid the engineers in developing
technology of the future. I accomplished this by assisting the engineers with daily tasks that
included optical inspection, cross section, wet etching, plasma etching, scanning electron
microscope inspection, probing for failure location and collaborating to write reports.
